“A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME”

*In 1991: I started my career working for Kohler Flexible/Liquid Packaging. I served my time as an Internal Sales Co-Ordinator servicing the Fruit Processing and Wine BIB markets.

*In 1999: our then Managing Director, Derek Fay started Maverick Packaging. I was employed from the start as a Commercial Co-Ordinator. This business amalgamated with GN Packaging (Canada) and became the Sole, International Market leader for Liquid Packaging/BIB related Machines & Equipment and Service.

*In 2005: Maverick Packaging diversified and established Maverick Flexible (now known to you as Liquibox SA). This business was all about Blown Film Extrusion and specialised Thermal Laminations specifically for the Liquid Packaging Industry.

*In 2016: Maverick Packaging sold its interest in Flexible and Engineering to one of its biggest customers that being the Liquibox Corporation. Maverick Packaging turned its full attention to the specialised Pouch business (see www.maverickpackagingsa.com). Due to demand this business has established and is busy relocating base to the USA.

*In 2021: Now five years after the successful conclusion of the sales process I have been encouraged to “go on my own”. My established business, Supreme Packaging will continue local manufacture for Maverick. Supreme will also venture into the local BIB market.

•I have over 25 years of experience in this Liquid Packaging/BIB business. •Supreme Packaging is established and has been based in our Diep River facility for around 10 years now. •Supreme enjoys 100% of Maverick’s expert technical support. •I have the latest, state of the art Maverick Bag Line with a capacity of 20 million bags per year.

•Supreme will follow Europe’s lead and “go green”. Bags will be out of EVOH Co Extrusion rather than Polyester laminations. To this end I can “lean on” a number of close connections to source the specialised films required.

•I am the Sole Owner of Supreme Packaging with a Level One, B-BBEE procurement recognition level.
